Why does my puppy bark at one particular puppy

As an instructor at ECDTC, I have been asked to write answers here to questions put to me by handlers in the classes. You may have the same questions. Hoping you will find the answers helpful, here is the next Q&A.

Question from Puppy Class:
My puppy barks at one particular puppy in class every time the puppy comes near. With the other puppies he is fine. Why does puppy do this and how can I help my puppy cope?

Answer:
As soon as you see this scary (in your puppy’s eyes) puppy approaching, start treating your puppy. Keep feeding him until the other puppy is far away. Your puppy will associate something nice (sausage) with the other puppy and so be less afraid of him.
